For years now, nursing homes have been undergoing a period of profound transformation, in which managerial pressures, staff shortages, and new quality expectations are forcing a rethinking of organizational culture and processes. Against this backdrop, there is a tension between technology serving as a concrete lever for daily operations and growing exposure to cyberattacks.
The workshop therefore aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the context, digital innovation, and compliance, with practical guidance to help shape decisions and priorities. Following this, best practices and exemplary case studies will be presented.
Target Audience: General Managers, Administrative Directors, IT Managers, Healthcare Directors, healthcare professionals, and middle management personnel working in nursing homes.
According to the Carer Association, there are currently about 7 million caregivers in Italy. These include family members, relatives, and professional caregivers, 60% of whom are women. Caring for a dependent person is a full-time job and responsibility that can negatively impact one’s studies, work, and personal life.
With this in mind, a group of students from the Product Design program at the European Institute of Design in Rome interviewed independent and dependent seniors, as well as their caregivers, to understand the most common daily challenges. Using design methodology, they sought to find solutions.
The result is seven products that address these issues, which will be previewed at Exposanità.
