The Living Lab “Home Autonomy” at Exposanità 2026 is an immersive experience that recreates spaces in home environments, such as the kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom, transforming them into a true laboratory of autonomy.
Furnishings, components, aids, and home automation technologies integrate to create a space designed according to criteria of accessibility, safety, and functionality, where people with disabilities can concretely experience the activities of daily living.
In particular, the kitchen, the heart of the home, becomes the privileged context for developing organizational and operational skills related to food and space management, for its safe and intuitive use.
A PATH AD HOC”
The course, made up of actions and strategies for the autonomy of people in the home, will be personalized and accompanied by occupational therapists who, during the fair days, will lead practical activities and experiential workshops open to visitors, offering qualified and targeted support. A workshop will be dedicated to the Digital Living Room, where you can discuss and learn how to use technology together.
BEYOND THE EVENT
The project’s value extends beyond the event: thanks to the collaboration between Exposanità, Veneta Cucine, and the Bologna Handicap Council, the kitchen module, designed for the Living LAB by Veneta Cucine, will be reused and donated to an association, becoming part of a real living environment.
