Accessible bathroom contest

Design, functionality and aesthetics in a contest inspired by accessibility

Exposanità offered to the teachers and students of DAD, Architecture and Design Department of the Architecture University of Genoa, an opportunity to demonstrate their technical preparation and creativity, presenting during the exhibition a working prototype of an accessible mobile bathroom.

The “BATH – Bath Room Accessibility for temporary habitats” competition is a rather ambitious challenge with the aim to design a bathroom that combines solutions that meet the needs of a large and heterogeneous audience, while respecting accessibility, functionality, design and aesthetics.

For every kynd of product, accessory, furniture component and system, young designers can draw on the wide production already on the market and offered by specialized companies and involved in the project.

Fashion Toilet, leading company in the luxury mobile toilets sector, will turn the best project into a fully functioning prototype that will be shown during the exhibition.

During Exposanità there will also be an exhibition with all the projects involved in the contest, and a workshop for design engineers will illustrate the guidelines for future design.

The innovation and technology, the regulatory aspects and the main needs of the user will be the topics discussed during the meeting.
